ADVANTAGE
Flux-cored hardfacing welding wire is a type of welding wire used in the hardfacing process to enhance the surface properties of a material, such as wear resistance, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance. The wire contains a flux core, which provides shielding gas during the welding process, eliminating the need for an external gas supply. This makes it suitable for outdoor or windy environments where using shielding gas might be challenging.
Advantages:
High deposition efficiency.
Good penetration and fusion.
Suitable for out-of-position welding.
Can be used in adverse environmental conditions.
Disadvantages:
Produces more slag, which needs to be cleaned after welding.
May require preheating or post-weld heat treatment depending on the base material and application.
